Why Join 3PA?
Make your voice heard. Platt Park is undergoing many changes: Rezoning, redevelopment and street reconfigurations. These changes will impact our lives and home values permanently. 3PA represents the neighborhood with city and business leaders on behalf of all neighbors. Your vote is your voice.
Numbers count. When your board members stand before the city council to represent our neighborhood --- whether on T-Rex, liquor licensing, Gates rezoning, development on Pearl St. or a host of other issues- it is important to be able to say: "We have so-many-hundreds of members." A large membership gives us clout.
For members only. Only members are able to vote, receive the newsletter by e-mail, receive a merchant discount coupon and have access to members-only Web site pages.
Get to know your neighbors. 3PA provides the opportunity to meet neighbors at several social events throughout the year and by volunteering for committees.
It pays to be informed and stay involved. We invite guest speakers to our monthly meetings to give updates on their projects and city policy. Recent guests include representatives from liquor licensing, city council, Gates, Cherokee redevelopment, neighborhood condo projects and Pearl St. developers. It is a great forum for asking questions on any topic that interests you and staying up-to-date on what's going on around us.
Security. Neighbors who know each other and know what is going on in the neighborhood recognize suspicious incidents or people, making the neighborhood safer. Our neighborhood police officers attend every meeting to answer your questions and let us know what they see going on in the neighborhood.

3PA is your association
An active 3PA improves our neighborhood, encourages a spirit of community and expresses our Platt Park pride. Board members and volunteers attend many meetings with city officials and business leaders to make sure the needs and wishes of the neighborhood are known and part of the decision-making processes. Without having to keep track of the latest development in our neighborhood and the meetings that are part of every project, you can express your opinion through 3PA- a big benefit for such a small price.
3PA Needs You
3PA is an all-volunteer organization and needs volunteers to continue to its service to the neighborhood. Whatever your interest, Platt Park has a spot for you. We are an open organization and welcome all members on all committees and at all events. If you don’t participate we can’t know what you want and we can’t represent you. Make your wishes known. We need your membership.
